Burns Night

picture gallery

Turku Finn Brits joined the locals in Köyliö at High Oak (Korkea Tammi) Highland Cattle Ranch at the end of January for a fantastic evening together celebrating Robert Burns.

The piper piped the guests in as well as the haggis (there was a vegetarian option too!) and we saluted the haggis with an exceptionally nice single malt whisky. The band was energetic and fun, and the menu was fantastic - every mouthful was delicious!

Silver darlings (freshwater whitefish - muikku- from the local area)
Cockaleekie soup
Haggis, neeps and tatties (Haggis, turnips and potatoes (both roasted)
with a small handmade meat pie alongside
Cranachan ((Scottish Gaelic: Crannachan pronounced [ˈkʰɾan̪ˠəxan]) is a traditional Scottish dessert. It is usually made from a mixture of whipped cream, whisky, honey and fresh raspberries, with toasted oatmeal  soaked in drop of whisky).

There are more photos on Korkea Tammi's facebook page
